Also I'm glad to see Steve Carell a little bit more serious.



Jeff Bridges was offered the leading male part but turned it down.

The French movie that Kate and Arnold see in the cinema is Le dîner de cons, which was remade as Dinner for Schmucks starring Steve Carell, who plays Dr. Feld.
