Актеры во многом меня мотивируют.
Каждый раз когда я просматриваю фильмографию любимого актера, всегда найдутся редкие фильмы, которые мало кто видели поэтому их тяжело достать.
Находишь фильм, как правило, в единственном экземпляре, и смотришь его в том виде в котором он существует.
Как и со всеми фильмами это может быть либо провал, либо так себе, либо очень хороший фильм.
Все это умножается на время, потраченное на поиск фильма.

Если говорить об этом фильме, то мне повезло.
Замечательный фильм! Майкл здесь просто ВЕЛИКОЛЕПЕН!
И это однозначно теперь один из моих любимых фильмов с ним.



Michael Douglas once said of this film:
"First couple of times I read the sсript, I just burst into tears. It has some great moments - 'kvells', I call them.
It's a good story, well constructed, well written, clean and simple, healthy and wholesome and kinda sweet.
A classic, old-fashioned love story, too, I think, and I'm a soft touch for emotion.
I like to see people who aren't afraid to show emotion, which is the antithesis of the Hollywood hard-ass character."

To prepare for his role, Michael Douglas had to get fit. First, Douglas started running twenty minutes a day building it up to 50-60 miles a day.
Douglas gave up smoking two packets of cigarettes a day and lost 12 lbs in weight. He would start running at 6.30 am each day in the Beverly Hills canyons.

During shooting in New York City, Michael Douglas ran fifteen miles over the 59th Street Bridge and back.

Around the time of its theatrical release, Michael Douglas once said of running for this film:
"Nirvana does not come every morning but its a good way to lose weight. I sleep better, except when I over-do it, then I have a restless sleep.
But I haven't been in such good shape since high-school. I've a better disposition - you must have noticed that! More energy, more stamina and my mind is much sharper."

Michael Douglas once said that running was great for hangovers.

Я не очень понимаю зачем была запущена вторая часть, если только не ради "прозрения" Гордона скажем так .
Но драйв потерян. Первый фильм нес хоть какую-то мудрость для брокеров. А этот - я так и не поняла о чем фильм ...
Но стоило конечно еще раз посмотреть на Майкла в образе Гордона Греко.
Кстати говоря меня дико ужаснули упоминания устами его героя о раке.
Такое вот страшное совпадение, что Майкл узнал о своей болезни именно во время съемок этого фильма.

Для меня было огромным сюрпризом появление Чарли Шина.
Сначала я обрадовалась, но потом как-то с грустью взглянула на него, прокрутив его биографию.
Такой хороший актер он был, в первой части просто отлично сыграл ...

Javier Bardem was the studio's favorite for the role of the villain. However, he turned the role down to star in Бьютифул, and Edward Norton,

This sequel was made after a gap of twenty-three years to the original Уолл Стрит.

Скачала много фильмов с Дугласом / Дэймоном.
Но вот какое дело - не могу пока смотреть другие фильмы Мэтта, т.к. хочу продлить его образ в "Канделябрах", который я считаю у него лучшим и своим любимым.
Так что решила пока в который раз прочесать фильмографию Майкла.

Одна из вещей, за которые я люблю кино, так это сила фильмов в запечатлении драгоценных моментов.
Вершин актерского мастерства, рождающихся в совместной работе талантливых людей. Бывает что и родных людей.
Мне было очень приятно наблюдать за диалогами отца и сына Мартина и Чарли Шина. Есть какая-то особенная магия когда близкие люди снимаются в одной картине.

Скачала один семейный фильм кстати вместе с тремя поколениями актерской семьи Дугласов. Впечатляет ... также сильно как и Майкл в этом фильме.

However, in tossing around ideas with his friend Stanley Weiser, he hit on the notion of making a film about Wall Street instead.
Weiser was not so sure about this, knowing next to nothing about the financial markets.
Stone encouraged him to read "Crime and Punishment" and "The Great Gatsby" for an idea of the morality he wanted to put into the story, while Weiser spent the next few months immersing himself in the financial world.
He and Stone spent three weeks visiting brokerage houses and interviewing investors.

The original name for Charlie Sheen's character was Joe Fox. However, there was a real Wall Street trader called just that who refused to have his name used.

The story is loosely patterned after the junk bond/insider trading scandals of the '80s.

Советские фильмы всегда так удивительно хороши.
Удивительно только потому, что глядя на сегодняшний отечественный кинематограф, хочется горько плакать.

Вообще оба фильма с Муравьевой и Абдуловым «Карнавал» и «Самая обаятельная и привлекательная» люблю и знаю всю жизнь.

Джозеф, здесь просто прелестный!

Мне не нравится героиня в этом фильме и её отношение к жизни.
И почему-то эта неприязнь временами переносится у меня на саму Дешанель.
Но вот саундтрек фильма мне нравится и особенно песня-cover в исполнении группы с её участием, She & Him - "Please, please, please let me...".

Nicolas Winding Refn's first film based on a novel, and first film he did not write the sсript for.

Nicolas Winding Refn replaced Neil Marshall as director. Refn was hand-picked by Ryan Gosling for the project.

Despite the elaborate and realistic images of Los Angeles, Nicolas Winding Refn has no knowledge of the city.
Refn spent most of his time with Ryan Gosling to get to know the city.

Ryan Gosling's character wears a jacket with a scorpion on the back. Gosling also happens to be a Scorpio (born November 12, 1980).

The Driver and Irene actually say very little to each other, primarily because Ryan Gosling and
Carey Mulligan felt that their scenes should be more focused on the mood and refused to say many of the scripted lines.
Mulligan summarized making the film as "staring longingly at Ryan Gosling for hours each day."

As Ryan Gosling's character walks into the trailer to take the bald-headed mask, three make-up heads/sculpts of
Christina Hendricks that were used in her death scene can be seen in the background.

Nicolas Winding Refn reportedly filmed a scene where the Driver actually dies after he and Bernie stab each other.
It was said to be used during an early test screening.

Early candidates for the role of Martha included Bette Davis, Ingrid Bergman, Rosalind Russell and Patricia Neal.
Early candidates for the role of George included James Mason, Cary Grant, Henry Fonda, Arthur Hill, Jack Lemmon and Peter O'Toole.

Jack Lemmon was the only actor to be offered the role of George in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? before Richard Burton was cast.
He accepted the role but quickly changed his mind the next day without offering any explanation.
Other sources claim that Lemmon's asking price was too high for Warner.

Robert Redford turned down the role of Nick.

Sandy Dennis, who was pregnant at the time of filming, suffered a miscarriage on the set.

Every credited member of the cast received an Academy Award nomination.

The costumers found this t-shirt in a thrift store and bought it, then researched online where this school may be.
Once they learned that it is a high school in Vienna, Virginia, they contacted the school to ask if they could use the t-shirt in the film.
